At Hippy Kidz, we research and source only the finest baltic amber products having tried to find high quality, adjustable amber products for ourselves, and not being able to find quite what we were looking for. So we set out to source it ourselves.
Other bracelets are either elasticated, which can be pulled and broken, like an elastic band. Or are knotted, but a fixed length, with many reports of frustrated people receiving bracelets that don't ''quite'' fit (either slipping off, or a bit too tight). Our beautiful bracelets/anklets, however, have 2 sterling silver clasps so you can adjust to the EXACT LENGTH you require. Each bead is hand knotted to minimise the number of beads that escape if the item breaks. This minimises any choking risk. Bracelets/anklets are also much safer than necklaces in our view, although Olive Bean shaped beads, albeit very popular, pose a greater choking hazard since the beads are larger. It also splits more easily than baroque beads and can be sharper when split. Always follow the important safety information below.

How does it adjust?
There is a silver clasp at each end of the item. Place it around the wrist or ankle, then clip on one of the silver clasps to make the item the right length. Then hook on the other clasp to ensure the remaining length does not dangle down.

Important Guidelines and Safety Information
*Please note this item is not a toy. EU Toy Safety Regulations state that necklaces, bracelets and anklets are not suitable for children under 36 months due to small parts. Necklaces, bracelets and anklets are for wearing and NOT for chewing
- It is recommended that children wear necklaces and bracelets as an anklet under a sock until age 5 to minimise all choking and strangulation risks.
- Remove all jewellery items when unattended, sleeping, swimming, during play activities, and whilst bathing.

Necklaces in particular should always be removed from the neck when a child is sleeping or unattended.
- Necklaces can usually be used as an anklet by double-wrapping the necklace around the ankle and placing a sock over the foot to keep the necklace in place and hidden to prevent pulling (as well as to keep the feet warm).
- Do not allow children of any age to chew on Amber since it is a resin and can break and shatter. Cracked beads could be inhaled and become dangerous/cause choking. Amber properties work through the skin - it should never be chewed.
- Check frequently for cracks and damage. Item can shatter if it has been hit or stood on, posing a choking risk.
- If the item breaks, do not attempt to fix it as its safety may be compromised. A replacement should always be purchased.
- Detergents and perfumes will damage amber.
- Amber is soft so keep stored in a fabric bag to prevent scratching.
